Where's LD?

The Strangeworlds Travel Agency was published yesterday, and there has been SO MUCH going on! So, in case you've missed anything, here's a round-up of what's been going on...

The Strangeworlds Blog Tour has been taking over the internet!

"Everything I am is the result of a childhood of books..." Guest blog for the Federation of Children's Book Groups

Guest post for Youth Libraries Group (CILIP)

Writing Strangeworlds - behind the scenes interview with Steph at ALittleButALot

Where did the idea for Strangeworlds come from? Guest blog for Jo Clarke

And I spoke to ReadsRainbow about my dream dinner guest, and to Writers' and Artists' about world-building on an epic scale!

Reading Rocks have been running a whole week of activities on their site, including...

A video interview with me, answering questions sent in by readers

Three virtual lessons in collaboration with Hachette Schools

I chatted to Anna James as part of her online Bookwanderers Club, and answered some amazing reader questions!

The pre-lockdown Carpool Readeoke I recorded with Discovery Schools Trust went online.

I set an Authorfy 10-Minute Challenge to create a new world from scratch!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, The Strangeworlds Travel agency is Better Reading's Book of the Week!

I also chatted to Better Reading about imaginary worlds and secret magic in this fun interview.

You can see a video of me introducing Strangeworlds on the Better Reading FB page.

The Strangeworlds Travel Agency is also the Book of the Week in kids' magazine The Week Junior. There's a competition in the magazine to win a copy of the book (which ends at midnight tonight!), so move fast if you haven't entered already.

If you miss out there, though, Caboodle (National Book Tokens) are also running a competition to win a signed copy of the book and a suitcase full of goodies on their website (ends 7th May).

There's also another competition running! Frankie and Benny's and Snappertime have teamed up for the F&B's 'Staycation Challenge', which this week includes the Strangeworlds Suitcase Challenge! There's a chance to win a bundle of toys, books, and games too, so get entering!

And if you need a hint on how to rustle up a Strangeworlds suitcase pronto, I show you how in this video for Dubray Storyfest At Home!

The Strangeworlds Travel Agency is also a May Book of the Month over at Toppsta, and you can read reviews and get home learning resources over at their website.

Since lockdown is continuing, Hachette Schools have two different packs of resources available - one for homelearning, and one teacher-focussed.

Strangeworlds is also a Book of the Month over on Books for Topics, along with a whole bunch of amazing reads for schools and home.

So, that's it for now! Thanks for reading through to the end of all this, and thank you to everyone who has bought, read and reviewed The Strangeworlds Travel Agency already! LD x
