Happy New Year
Hello to 2021! Which so far has involved more sea shanties than I would have expected, but that's definitely not a complaint. I sort of neglected this new page at the end of the year, so stand by for a round-up of the things that happened as 2020 came to a close...
The Strangeworlds Travel Agency won Bert's Book of the Year!
This was especially great because it was voted for by readers, so it was a real honour to win! I can't wait to put my trophy on the shelf!

...and was named one of Waterstones Best Books of 2020... alongside The Book of Hopes being shortlisted for the Waterstones Book of the Year!

The proof copies of The Strangeworlds Travel Agency: The Edge of the Ocean have been arriving with advance readers, which is wonderful! I love the letter included with the proof from Pirate Queen Nyfe (who you will meet in the book...).
I was proud to have a short story published as part of the birthday celebrations for UNESCO Nottingham City of Literature. You can read it for free here.
And finally, I have some (virtual) event dates to share! Remember you can get in touch about schools, libraries or speaking events via my contact page.
